Rob van Oosten - Negen abstracte werken

Biography Rob van Oosten (1963) began painting in his teenage years. Among other things by copying the 'old masters', he discovered what oil paint could do. However, his career did not head toward becoming an artist; he became a teacher. In addition, he continued painting. For many years these were still lifes with flowers, vegetables and fruit, but he noticed that he could not express his creativity sufficiently there. That changed when he started adding sand to his work and began using tools such as putty knives and steel brushes. His work became rougher and increasingly moved toward abstraction. Rob finds his inspiration in life. It can be beautiful, but it also has many rough sides. Rob van Oosten's work has found its way into private collections in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Italy, Portugal, Spain, France and Greece. Recent sales exhibitions were at the ‘Tree Museum’ in Doorn and at ‘Castle Amerongen’. These 9 works are painted on acid-free, pH-neutral paper.
