This is the original motion picture soundtrack for the 1962 20th Century Fox CinemaScope production of Rodgers and Hammerstein's State Fair. The album is a 12-inch stereophonic 33 1/3 RPM long play record released by Dot Records under catalog number DLP 29011. The recording features performances by the film's starring cast, including Pat Boone, Bobby Darin, Pamela Tiffin, Ann-Margret, Tom Ewell, and Alice Faye. The front cover features an orange-red background with two photographic stills from the motion picture and the Dot Records Ultra High Fidelity logo. The back cover provides a complete tracklist, film credits, and promotional images for other Dot Records soundtrack releases. The black vinyl label features the multi-colored Dot logo at the top with printed text including Ultra High Fidelity, Long Play, 33 1/3, Stereophonic, and the catalog number DLP 29011. Music was supervised and conducted by Alfred Newman with music by Richard Rodgers and lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II. Domestic shipping within the U.S. is $12 for a single album.
