RODIN AT L'ÉGYPTIENNE — Children's Drawings - Lot 260

RODIN AT L'ÉGYPTIENNE — Children's Drawings Rodin at L'Égyptienne. Children's Drawings. Preface by Hélène Pinet, Musée Rodin. Paris, Venti-8, 2004. An illustrated album showcasing the work created around Auguste Rodin by students in a second- and third-grade class on Rue de la Jussienne—or Rue de l’Égyptienne. The children explore the sculptures at the Rodin Museum and reinterpret them through drawing: The Thinker, Balzac, The Age of Bronze, The Kiss, The Burghers of Calais, etc. Numerous reproductions of children’s drawings based on Rodin’s sculptures. Illustrated cover in blue and yellow. An original and relatively obscure publication, more interesting as a document on the reception and pedagogical use of Rodin’s work than as a monograph.
