Roger Gobron (1899–1985), België - Portret

Characterful portrait – oil on paper – Roger Gobron (1899–1985), Belgian school. This powerful work was created by the well-known Belgian artist Roger Gobron (1899–1985). The scene presents a moody and intimate portrait of a man at a simple table, with a bowl and a earthenware jug in the background. The man is bent forward in a moment of quiet contemplation. With a highly expressive, layered brushwork and a warm, sober color palette of deep blue, earth tones and warm ocher, Gobron conveys a raw and emotionally charged atmosphere. The influence of Belgian Expressionism and the social-realistic tradition is deftly felt in this striking character study. Stylishly framed painting in a classic, gilded frame with mat (dimensions without frame: H 65cm x W 50cm), in very good, authentic condition and bottom-right correctly signed "Gobron". A special and beautiful work of art from the Belgian Modernist School. IMPORTANT: Given the value, size, and/or fragility, this artwork must be collected!"}#{}}} } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } }} } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } }}
