Oil on canvas by Roger Mühl depicting the port of Saint-Tropez, in a luminous and pared-down composition, characteristic of the artist's mature period. The knife-worked texture and the delicate palette of blues, ochres and pinks convey the poetry of the Mediterranean landscapes that made the painter's reputation. The work is signed at the bottom right. Dimensions 50 x 65 cm. Framed in an American box frame 55 x 70 cm. The work will be included in the artist's catalogue raisonné, currently in preparation.
