Roger - Violet Juxtaposée / Magazine Services

An vintage press photograph showing Fidel Castro during a military activity, equipped with protective goggles and holding a weapon, in a dynamic and unusual image within his more well-known iconography. The photograph has notable documentary interest in presenting Fidel in a context of training or military demonstration, reflecting the strong link between the revolutionary leadership and the defense structures during the early years of the Cuban Revolution. The reverse bears various stamps and editorial notes, including Roger-Viollet, Paris, the historic French agency and photographic archive, which reinforces its provenance within the international press circuit.
