Ca. AD 200 - 300. A carnelian intaglio engraved with the bust of Minerva in profile to the left, wearing a high-crested helmet, with drapery at the shoulder. Set in a hallmarked 18K gold ring with a hoop expanding into an oval bezel mount. Size: D:20.78mm / US: 11 1/8 / UK: W; Weight: 4.4g Provenance: Private London collection; acquired in Germany; formerly with S.T. collection, Switzerland, 1980s-2000s.
