Ancient Egyptian clay jug Large Egyptian earthenware jug in light beige ceramic dating to the Roman period. It rests on a slightly concave circular foot, a pear-shaped body ornamented at mid-height with a circular groove, a small ribbon handle with vertical striations connecting the shoulder to the neck. The conical, moulded lip stands out clearly from the neck. Height 21.6 cm - diameter 14.2 cm. In excellent condition - no restoration Provenance information: France, Study of Q.P.R.. Previously assessed by Madame Brigitte Cordelle (1950/2021), expert in Assyriology and Egyptology, former expert in Mediterranean archaeology at the Aix-en-Provence Court of Appeal.
