Ca. AD 1 - 300. A gold ring with a flat-section hoop widening across the shoulders to support an oval bezel set with a malachite cabochon in a raised collet. A single row of granulation encircles the setting, interrupted at either side by applied paired granules. Size: D:17.93mm / US: 7 3/4 / UK: P; Weight: 4.6g Provenance: Private London collection; previously in a South-German private collection formed on the European art market in the 1980s and 1990s.
