Ca. AD 1 - 300. A necklace composed of alternating rock crystal and amethyst beads of faceted and rounded shapes, interspersed at intervals with groups of small gold spacer beads. The necklace fastens with a gold hook-and-eye clasp. Size: 230mm x 10mm; Weight: 52g Provenance: From a London private collection; earlier part of a Belgian collection assembled in the late 20th century.
