ROMAN STONE INTAGLIO OF JUPITER IN GOLD RING

Ca. AD 50 - 200. A pale stone intaglio engraved with Jupiter standing, with a thunderbolt beside his left side. The gem is set in a possibly later gold ring with a flat-section hoop expanding at the shoulders to an oval bezel with a raised collar enclosing the stone.
