Elegant intaglio realized in natural pink quartz from Madagascar, worked in a vertical form with flat base, faceted body and pointed termination. The sample weighs 1107 grams and presents a delicate light pink hue, softly and naturally distributed throughout the entire volume. The surface has been carefully smoothed and polished, allowing light to penetrate the stone and highlight the internal structure of the quartz. Inside are visible milky veils, thin natural fractures, zones more translucent and light variations that confer depth to the material. In some points the light produces more intense reflections and small luminous effects, while other areas appear more compact and opalescent. The geometric processing particularly enhances these characteristics. The longitudinal surfaces create different planes of reflection, while the upper part is modeled in a faceted termination that gives the object a slender and harmonious silhouette. Rose quartz is a macrocrystalline variety of quartz, composed mainly of silicon dioxide, SiO₂. Its pink coloration is linked to the presence of microscopic inclusions and structural defects within the crystal lattice. Madagascar is one of the best-known localities for the production of good-quality rose quartz, often appreciated for its delicate tones and good translucence. The small inclusions, the internal lines and the slight surface variations are natural characteristics of the material and make each piece unique.
