Rosenthal - Lino Sabattini - Vase (4) - Tasca

Dear Bidders, thank you for your interest in my offer. This lot includes an elegant Rosenthal porcelain collection designed by Lino Sabattini, featuring the iconic Tasca elliptical vase together with pieces from the Pianta series, including a sculptural vase and candleholder, completed by a minimalist serving tray. All in good / fair vintage condition. Produced in Germany in the late 1970s–1980s, these objects are outstanding examples of modernist Italian-influenced design with soft organic lines and refined matte white porcelain. Sabattini’s timeless aesthetic combines sculptural elegance with functional simplicity, making this ensemble highly decorative and collectible. Sabatini, a renowned Italian designer, was known for his sculptural and fluid forms – a hallmark of organic modernism and mid-century European design. His creations for Rosenthal embody the perfect blend of Italian artistic vision and German porcelain mastery. ~ Large Vase (Tasca) ~ A sculptural piece from the Tasca series by Lino Sabattini, produced for Rosenthal (Studio-Line) likely in the 1980s–1990s. The Tasca design — named from the Italian word for “pocket” — is characterized by its smooth, flattened organic form with an asymmetrical opening, reflecting minimalist and postmodern sensibilities. Many examples are dated to the late 20th century and are attributed to around the 1980s. ~ White Vase ( Pianta ) ~ Rare sculptural vase from the iconic “Pianta” series designed by Lino Sabattini for Rosenthal Studio-Line. This elegant porcelain design evokes the organic growth of plants with its elongated form and flowing, petal-like edges. A fine example of Sabattini’s minimalist yet expressive style and Rosenthal’s exceptional craftsmanship. Highly collectible piece of modern design.
