All auctions / Glass / Royal Court - Sheffield - Decanter in vetro soffiato...

Decanter Royal Court, belonging to the Sheffield Collection line, produced around the second half of the 20th century for the Royal Family Sheffield. The top, neck, shaped spout, and the scroll handle and stopper are made of finely silver-plated metal via galvanic plating, a workmanship that recalls the historicity of the classic English style born in Sheffield in the eighteenth century. The main spherical body of the object is handmade blown glass and features a ground polished/engraved surface. The original period tag attached to the handle attests to the origin of belonging to the Royal Court manufactory and reads: "This object contains in itself all the characteristics of Sheffield production born in England at the beginning of the 18th century. The shapes and the careful finish evoke the craftsmanship of Anglo-Saxon silversmiths." The presentation photo was generated by using AI solely to enhance the decanter’s aesthetics and to show it in a probable usage context; for a real view of the object, please refer to the subsequent photographs in the photo gallery. Measurements: H 27 cm, width 15/16 cm, base diameter 9 cm, weight 1.5 kg. Esthetic and structural conditions are excellent, with no chips on the glass or losses to the silver plating. Fast shipping and careful packaging are guaranteed.
