A Royal Doulton glazed ceramic advertising figurine titled John Ginger, model AC6, from the Advertising Classics series. This limited-edition piece is numbered 857 of a total production of 2,000. The figure depicts an Irish lad, a promotional character for Huntley and Palmers biscuits, dressed in 17th-century style attire consisting of a green tunic, breeches, a black belt with a yellow buckle, yellow hosiery, and black buckled shoes. He wears a tall black steeple hat with a white band. Tucked under his left arm is a miniature replica of a Huntley and Palmers Ginger Nuts biscuit tin featuring red and green label graphics. The integral circular base features the transfer-printed slogan: There are no 'ifs' nor 'ands' nor 'buts'. They are the finest Ginger Nuts! The underside features the Royal Doulton Millennium backstamp for the year 2000, depicting a lion and crown.
