Royal Doulton porcelain figurine of a Tang Horse, modeled in a stylized ancient Chinese aesthetic with a lowered head and formal trappings. The piece is finished in a high-gloss flambe glaze featuring deep red tones with dark blue and black veined mottling. The underside of the integral rectangular base bears a printed mark in a circle reading ROYAL DOULTON ENGLAND below a lion and crown device, with an adjacent printed rectangle containing a horse graphic and the text TANG HORSE YEAR OF THE HORSE 2002.
