Copper 1 Kopek coin minted at the Saint Petersburg Mint during the reign of Tsar Nicholas II. The reverse features the denomination within an open crown formed by laurel and oak branches, tied at the bottom by a ribbon, while the obverse shows the majestic crowned double-headed eagle of the Russian Empire, with scepter and orb, surrounded by the imperial legend. The design, with a heraldic character, reflects the solemnity of the emissions of Tsarist Russia in the final years before World War I and the fall of the Romanov dynasty. This specimen preserves an attractive uniform brown patina (Brown), with original lustre partially visible, sharp reliefs and clean fields, presenting only very slight contact marks in keeping with the excellent grade MS64 BN awarded by NGC.
