S.F. Michel (manner), Pair of Gilt Bronze Ewers Manner of Sigisbert-Francois Michel (French, 1729-1811), 19th / 20th century. Each having a satyr handle, one with grape vines and one with floral swags. Both on marble plinths. Appropriately marked. Approximate dimensions: 17 3/4 x 8 1/2 x 7 in. (45.1 x 21.6 x 17.8 cm.) Provenance: Private Collection of Daniel Gould, Acworth, GA. Other notes: A variation on these designs were adapted by John Flaxman (British, 1755-1826) for Wedgwood, "Sacred to Bacchus".
