S. Newhouse Kenwood N.Y. No. 5 Bear Trap

Kenwood, N.Y. USA. 4th Quarter 19th Century. This is the No. 5 bear trap. Wide jaws have a set of three evenly spaced teeth on each of the non-offset jaws with a double spring composition. Stamped, "S. NEWHOUSE / KENWOOD N.Y." on the circumference of the treadle pan and "NO. 5" in the centre.
