Sacred Dame – Christ with the Crown of Thorns – Faith & Redemption - Ring

Sacred Signet Ring – Christ with the Crown of Thorns – Faith & Redemption. Beautiful religious signet ring with a massive body, made in gilt bronze, whose plaque features the face of Christ wearing the Crown of Thorns. The representation, particularly expressive, is worked in high relief. The face of Christ occupies the entire upper part of the ring: long hair, finely drawn beard and features of the face deeply modeled give the piece a striking presence. The Crown of Thorns unfolds across the forehead and extends into the reliefs surrounding the face. The eyes are emphasized by two small shimmering elements, creating two bright points that accentuate the intensity of the gaze. The various surfaces alternate between polished and shiny areas and slightly textured recessed parts, allowing light to reveal the many details of the sculpture. The broad, full shoulders extend harmoniously from the front plate to join a thick band. In Christian tradition, the Crown of Thorns is one of the great symbols of Christ's Passion. It evokes sacrifice, humility, and the sufferings endured before the Crucifixion. Associated with the face of Christ, it also references faith, forgiveness, redemption, and hope. A signet ring of character, both massive, symbolic, and deeply expressive, conceived around an emblematic representation of Christian iconography.
