A rare and attractive vintage set of two Safety steel strongboxes, produced in the Netherlands and dating from approximately the 1950s–1960s. The set consists of two matching steel strongboxes in the characteristic grey textured finish. The larger box features a particularly attractive original red compartmented interior, while the smaller box has its original plain interior. Both retain their original handles, fittings and original keys each. Both locks are fully functional. The Safety brand is well known for its Dutch production of practical and robust security boxes during the mid-20th century. The combination of the matching design, original finishes and contrasting red interior makes this a particularly appealing set for collectors of vintage industrial and security objects.
