Sagrasse (1966) - ESCAPE - small

Sagrasse (Sandro Grassetti, born 1966) is a Marche-based artist whose life is rooted in artisanal craft. For forty years he worked in the shadows of his workshop in a small town among the hills of Marche, specializing at the highest levels in resin processing, painting, and chrome plating. The turning point in his life comes with the COVID-19 pandemic: the forced lockdown and the suspension of time become an emotional catalyst, pushing him to unleash the artistic urgency he had always kept inside. What for decades had been “only” a technique of excellence thus becomes the means to give life to modern, vibrant, pop sculptures with a playful edge. Today Sagrasse has transformed his know-how as a craftsman into a recognized language of contemporary art, proving that it is never too late to give voice to one's most authentic talent. Title - ESCAPE - small resin - Hand-signed 2026 Technique: resin Dimensions: 25x15.5x15.5 cm Condition: new. Certificate of authenticity - hand-signed. Edition: limited edition 299ex - pop The work will be carefully packaged and shipped with tracking courier. In recent years his work has received important public and private recognitions, culminating in participation in prestigious exhibitions. Among these stand out the participation in the Contemporary Art Exhibition “Arte Venezia” in 2025, the collaboration with the VERUM Center for Art and Culture, and the inclusion of his works within the renowned Private Collection Fuser. From artisan to sign of the Neo-Pop scene, Sagrasse shows how a lifetime of experience can transform into pure and recognized artistic expression. Sagrasse is not merely an artist who uses resin; he is a master craftsman who has freed the technique from the constraint of function, placing it at the service of imagination. His works are colorful mirrors in which our society is reflected: pop, brilliant, ironic, and irresistibly modern. Sagrasse’s work fits perfectly within the path of New Pop Art and Urban Art. While the association with Banksy is evident for its strong satirical charge, irony, and ability to reinterpret icons of everyday life or pop culture in a critical key, Sagrasse’s universe closely dialogues with other giants of the international scene such as Jeff Koons, KAWS, Takashi Murakami, Mr. Brainwash, and Richard Orlinski. The object is an exclusive Sagrasse creation. It is an artisanal work, conceived and realized entirely in Italy. The small imperfections that may be found are the natural character of entirely manual processing. It is recommended not to expose to heat sources; clean without detergents, but only with a soft cloth.
