Sagrasse (Sandro Grassetti, born in 1966) is a Marche-based artist whose life is rooted in artisanal mastery. For forty years he has worked in the shadows of his workshop in a small municipality among the hills of Marche, specializing to the highest levels in resin processing, painting, and chroming. The turning point in his life comes with the COVID-19 pandemic: the forced lockdown and the suspension of time become an emotional catalyst, pushing him to unleash the artistic urgency he had always kept inside. What for decades had been “only” a technique of excellence thus becomes the means to give life to modern, vibrant, and ironic pop sculptures. Today Sagrasse has transformed his artisanal know-how into a recognized language of contemporary art, proving that it is never too late to give voice to one’s most authentic talent. Sagrasse - New small puffy candy Hand-signed 2023 Technique: resin and marble powder Dimensions: 38x16x15 cm Condition: new. Certificate of authenticity - hand-signed. Edition: fuchsia 499 ex The work will be carefully packed and shipped by courier with tracking. In recent years his work has received important public and private recognitions, culminating in participation in prestigious exhibitions. Notable among these are the presence at the Contemporary Art Exhibition "Arte Venezia" in 2025, the collaboration with the Centro d'Arte e Cultura VERUM, and the inclusion of his works in the renowned Fuser Private Collection. From artisan to signature of the Neo-Pop landscape, Sagrasse shows how a lifetime of experience can be transformed into pure and recognized artistic expression. Sagrasse is not simply an artist who uses resin; he is a master craftsman who has liberated the technique from the constraint of function, putting it at the service of imagination. His works are colorful mirrors in which our society is reflected: pop, brilliant, ironic, and irresistibly modern. Sagrasse’s work fits perfectly into the path of New Pop Art and Urban Art. If the comparison to Banksy is evident for the strong satirical charge, irony, and the ability to reinterpret icons of daily life or pop culture in a critical key, Sagrasse’s universe closely dialogues with other giants of the international scene such as Jeff Koons, KAWS, Takashi Murakami, Mr. Brainwash, and Richard Orlinski. The object is an exclusive Sagrasse creation. It is a craft work, conceived and made entirely in Italy. The small imperfections that may be found are the natural characteristic of entirely manual workmanship. It is recommended not to expose to heat sources; clean with only a soft cloth, without detergents.
