Sagrasse (Sandro Grassetti, born in 1966) is a Marche-based artist whose life is rooted in artisanal mastery. For forty years he worked in the shadow of his workshop in a small municipality among the hills of Marche, specializing at the highest levels in resin processing, painting, and chrome plating. The turning point of his life comes with the COVID-19 pandemic: the forced lockdown and the suspension of time become an emotional catalyst, pushing him to unleash the artistic urgency he had always harbored. What for decades had been “only” a technique of excellence thus becomes the means to give life to modern, vibrant, and ironic pop sculptures. Today Sagrasse has transformed his artisanal know-how into a recognized language of contemporary art, proving that it is never too late to give voice to one’s most authentic talent. Title - S.O.S Resin - Hand-signed 2022 Technique: resin Dimensions: 26x28x14 cm Condition: new. Certificate of authenticity - hand-signed. Edition: limited edition 100 ex. The work will be carefully packaged and shipped with courier tracking. In recent years his work has earned important public and private recognitions, culminating in participation in prestigious exhibitions. Among these are the presence at the Contemporary Art Exhibition “Arte Venezia” in 2025, the collaboration with the VERUM Center of Art and Culture, and the inclusion of his works within the renowned private collection Fuser. From artisan to signature of the Neo-Pop panorama, Sagrasse shows how a lifetime of experience can transform into pure and recognized artistic expression. Sagrasse is not merely an artist who uses resin; he is a master artisan who has freed the technique from the constraint of function, putting it at the service of the imagination. His works are colorful mirrors in which our society is reflected: pop, brilliant, ironic, and irresistibly modern. Sagrasse’s work fits perfectly in the path of New Pop Art and Urban Art. While the comparison to Banksy is evident for the strong satirical charge, irony, and the ability to reinterpret everyday icons or pop culture in a critical key, Sagrasse’s universe closely dialogues with other giants of the international scene such as Jeff Koons, KAWS, Takashi Murakami, Mr. Brainwash, and Richard Orlinski. The object is an exclusive Sagrasse creation. It is a handmade work, conceived and produced entirely in Italy. The small imperfections that may be found are the natural characteristic of the workmanship."
