Saint Jerome listening to the trumpets of the Last Judgment. Spanish

Descriptio Oil on canvas. Measures 111 x 78 cm (125 x 91 cm with frame). It depicts Saint Jerome in the desert, semi-nude and penitent, with the skull and cross as symbols of redemption. Above, an angel plays the trumpet of the Last Judgment. The brushwork is precise and the light contrasts intense, characteristic of early Spanish Mannerism. Due to its age and history of use, this lot may show signs of wear and previous interventions. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, no specialized technical testing has been performed. The absence of any mention of restorations does not guarantee that none exist. You may request additional information before placing a bid. This does not affect the buyer’s statutory rights.
