Original Filotecnica Salmoiraghi planimeter compensator, Milan, model Tipo 236, complete with its original case. A precision mechanical instrument used to measure irregular surfaces on maps, plans, technical drawings, and cadastral documentation. It stands as a testament to Italian instrumental engineering of the 20th century, predating the introduction of CAD systems and digital surveying techniques. The specimen features: Filotecnica Salmoiraghi trademark; model Tipo 236; original case; original calibration label affixed inside the case; complete and well-preserved mechanical components. From the calibration plate, the following results: ratio 1:1 and 1:1000; vernier unit value 10 mm² and 10 m²; calibration carried out at Filotecnica Salmoiraghi Milano. The instrument presents good cosmetic condition compatible with its age. Normal signs of use and storage are visible. As it has not been recently verified with professional measurements, it is sold as a collectible and study piece.
