Sander - Fischerboote

Sander, Theodor (Flensburg 1858 - 1935 Berlin). Fischerboot mit rot-weißen Segeln. Öl auf Holzplatte. Um 1920. Signiert. 23,5 x 18 cm. Im Stuck-Goldrahmen (kleine Abplatzer am Rahmen). Vgl. Schulte-Wülwer, Künstlerkolonie Ekensund, Seiten 114-116.- Nach Abschluss seines Kunststudiums in Berlin, versuchte Sander sich als freischaffender Künstler in seiner Heimatstadt. Aus finanziellen Gründen zog er jedoch alsbald nach Berlin, wo er u.a. als Lehrer an der Kunstgewerbe- und Handwerkerschule tätig war. 1882 unternahm er seine erste Studienreise zur Künstlerkolonie Ekensund.- Jeweils minimale Montierungslöchlein in den Ecken. Schulte-Wülwer, Künstlerkolonie Ekensund, pages 114-116. After completing his art studies in Berlin, Sander tried his hand as a freelance artist in his hometown. For financial reasons, however, he soon moved to Berlin, where he worked, among other things, as a teacher at the School of Arts and Crafts. In 1882, he undertook his first study trip to the artists' colony of Ekensund. - Minimal mounting holes in each corner.
