Santicri (1992) - Handle with Care

Santicri has participated in numerous art exhibitions of international standing. Among the most significant, in 2022 he displayed his works at the prestigious Palazzo Grillo in Genoa, and in 2023 he attended the International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) in New York, thereby expanding his visibility in both national and international contexts. Santicri was recognized among the Best-Selling Artists of 2024 by Artmayeur, one of the most renowned platforms in the art world. In the same year, he was also named among the top three most searched-for names on the Catawiki platform, another sign of the growing appreciation for his work. These acknowledgments highlight the extraordinary talent and the increasingly prominent visibility of Santicri in the contemporary art scene. Technique: Resin and marble powder Measurements: H13 x L15 x P13 cm Condition: new Certificate of authenticity – hand-signed Edition: limited edition 100ex A simple, recognizable figure is transformed into something different. The teddy bear, a symbol of affection and protection, maintains its shape but loses its function: it is no longer something to touch or experience lightly. The surface completely changes the perception of the work. What from a distance appears familiar becomes, up close, more distant, almost inaccessible. Thus a direct contrast is created between what we know and what we see. The work plays precisely on this tension: on one side it draws you in, on the other it keeps you at a distance. In this way, a childhood image is reinterpreted in a contemporary key, becoming something more complex and less reassuring. SHIPPING INSURED! The serial number may not correspond to the one in the photo. Born in 1992 in Macerata, Marche, the Italian artist followed a path that, between studies as a Surveyor and Architecture, led him to collaborate with a resin sculpture artisan. There arose the ever-stronger need to find himself and unleash his creativity. His works are sold worldwide, collaborating with galleries in Italy and Europe.
