All auctions / Contemporary Art / Santicri (1992) - Unicorns are real
Technique: Resin powder, marble, steel, acrylic Measurements: H50 x L34 x P10 cm Condition: new Certificate of authenticity - hand-signed Year 2022 Weight 6 kg This sculpture represents a bold and provocative interpretation of traditional mythology. The artist seems to challenge the iconic conventions of the unicorn as a symbol of purity and magic, transforming it into an icon of suffering and conflict. The use of rainbow colors to represent the wound creates an extraordinary contrast between beauty and tragedy. This sculpture can be interpreted in multiple ways: a reflection on the fragility of beauty, a representation of the struggle for identity, or a critique of the violence hidden behind appearances. It is a work of art that surely evokes emotions and stimulates reflection, pushing observers to consider the deeper meaning of beauty and suffering. The sculpture is a limited edition of 100 pieces, each with different color drips from the others. Born in 1992 in Macerata, Marche, the Italian artist pursued a path that, between studies in surveying and architecture, led him to collaborate with a resin sculpture artisan. There, the growing need to find himself and unleash his creativity emerged. His works are sold worldwide, collaborating with galleries in Italy and Europe. His art is widely appreciated and cannot be missing among collectors of street art, pop art, and contemporary art paintings. "It is never easy to classify one's art; I try to convey what my eyes see, my way of seeing what surrounds me, and I rework it with a design that fits well with modern times: impactful and memorable."
