atural Blue Sapphire Crystal on Muscovite Matrix from Badakhshan, Afghanistan – 377 g Offering an impressive natural Sapphire crystal specimen on Muscovite matrix from the Badakhshan mines of Afghanistan, weighing 377 grams and measuring approximately 103 × 55 × 47 mm. The specimen features two prominent Sapphire crystals naturally grown on a hard Muscovite matrix. The main crystal is positioned prominently on the front face, extending upward across the matrix, while a second large Sapphire crystal is naturally attached on the base/table side of the specimen. Numerous smaller Sapphire crystals are also naturally distributed across several sides of the matrix, creating an attractive and distinctive crystal formation. The two main Sapphire crystals display a natural blue color and retain their natural crystal terminations, with no damage or repair. Their elongated crystal forms and natural growth on the matrix give the specimen an especially interesting geological appearance. The specimen can be displayed on two different sides, providing two attractive viewing positions. Its substantial size and well-developed main crystals make it particularly suitable for a mineral collection or display cabinet. Sapphire crystals in natural matrix specimens of this size and character are highly desirable among mineral collectors.
