Small porcelain armchair from Sarreguemines with a single inkwell and a pocket-watch holder at the center of the backrest. The feet and edges are highlighted with a wide pink trim, and the decoration consists of a scattering of poly-chrome flowers printed under the series name “Roses et Marguerites” (RM) inscribed on the reverse of the pieces with the SARREGUEMINES U&C mark, circa 1930. Note: three hairlines at the edge where the inkwell rests. Here the inkwell is bronze. The pocket watch is a ladies’ pendant watch with a white enamel dial and a double 12h/24h timer in 800 silver. Mechanical movement of the cylinder-wound type dating from circa 1890–1900. It requires restoration; one of the hands is no longer fixed to its central axis. This inkstand is part of a private collection.
