SAUCIÈRE HELMET FEATURING THE INITIALS OF MARÉCHAL-COMTE VAILLANT

made of 950°/°° silver, a pedestal-style piece on a flush-fitting base, with the rims decorated with friezes of heart-shaped stripes. The swan-neck handle is held in place by a palmette, and the body is engraved with the cipher of Marshal-Count Philibert Vaillant (1790–1872). Height: 24 cm – Width: 26 cm – Depth: 14.5 cm – Weight: 600 g. Vieillard hallmark, 1st title, Paris 1819–1838. No silversmith’s mark. (Restorations, normal wear and tear, and scratches; sold as is).
