Scale - Antique Roberval-type balance scale with two...

Beautiful, authentic antique shop or kitchen scale of the well-known Roberval type, dating from the late 19th century / early 20th century. This sturdy trade balance is made from a heavy cast-iron frame and equipped with the classic mechanical weighing system. The piece stands out by the presence of two different original pans made of yellow copper (brass): a deep, funnel-shaped bowl (ideal for weighing loose goods such as grain, flour, or spices) and a flatter, round plate on the other side (for placing the counterweights or fixed goods). The scale is in an honest, unrestored condition and features a beautiful, well-worn patina with authentic signs of age and superficial oxidation on the iron, which further emphasizes its historical character. The mechanism still functions properly and the central balance indicator moves smoothly. A splendid curiosity and a charming vintage decorative piece for a rural kitchen, shop interior, or collection. View the photos for details and dimensions Carefully packed and insured for shipping
