Antique silver teaspoons (11) & sugar scoop in original case with key – Frank Pluut, Schoonhoven (1896-1915) Beautiful and refined antique silver set consisting of 11 teaspoons and a matching sugar scoop, made by the well-known Dutch silversmith Frank Pluut from Schoonhoven (active between 1896 and 1915). The spoons and the sugar scoop are in very good antique condition and feature an elegant, detailed Jugendstil / Art Nouveau relief motif on the handles and a graceful ribbed (twisted) shaft (rat-tail). HANDCRAFTED. The tops of the stems are also hand-engraved. The set is delivered in the original, authentic wooden case (box) including the accompanying key. However, the lock itself is not functional. A wonderful and complete collectible for lovers of Dutch antique silver! On every spoon and on the sugar scoop is found “Het zwaardje,” a small hallmark used in that period for smaller silver items (such as teaspoons) guaranteeing that it is 2nd quality silver (835/1000). Maker: Frank Pluut (Schoonhoven) – Master Mark: FP1 Period: ca. 1896 - 1915 Hallmarks: Netherlands marked with the ‘zwaardje’ (2nd quality silver, .835) Total net silver weight: 80 grams (excluding case).
