Superb and dynamic patinated bronze sculpture representing two horses in full gallop, captured in a moment of energy and remarkable vitality. This animal piece sits within the great tradition of equestrian bronze founders, a current that enjoyed its golden age in the 19th century with masters such as Barye, Mène or Fratin. The two horses are depicted side by side in complementary and harmonious postures: one rearing slightly, the arched neck and the mouth open in a neigh, the other galloping with all four legs out. The whole creates a dynamic and balanced composition, striking from every angle. The musculature of the animals is rendered with remarkable anatomical precision and sensitivity — flanks, shoulders, hocks, manes in the wind — bearing witness to a fine mastery of modeling.
