The bird is unusually dynamically shaped, with wings raised high, a streamlined body and the characteristic long, forked tail. The refined feather structure and warm dark brown patina give the sculpture a luxurious and timeless appearance. The work is signed “H. Rischmann” and provided with the round casting mark. The swallow is firmly mounted on a heavy, architecturally designed pedestal of polished black marble. The combination of dark patinated bronze and black natural stone enhances the monumentality of the object.
