Sculpture, "De Vaandeldrager" - 50.5 cm - Spelter

Beautiful, imposing sculpture depicting a partly undressed young man with a flag in his right hand and a sword in his left hand. A particularly beautiful representation by the French artist. The sculpture shows several lovely details in the modeling of the body, the clothing and the flag. The sculpture has a monumental, historising appearance. The sculpture has a beautiful, warm patina. Photos give a good representation of this sculpture. The figure stands on a round wooden pedestal, of a later date. The lot is carefully packed and sent by registered mail.
