Sculpture, Grand oiseau stylisé Dagari / Lobi - 60 cm - Hardwood

Description Beautiful decorative sculpture representing a stylized bird of Dagari / Lobi tradition, originating from West Africa. Carved in wood, this piece stands out for its slender silhouette, long legs and its large curved beak. The surface is entirely animated by a polychromy of yellow, red, black and white, applied in an expressive way, with a deliberately patinated and irregular look that gives it a lot of character. The painted motifs, signs of wear and surface variations reinforce its artisanal and unique appearance. With its 60 cm height, this sculpture has a striking presence and can be placed directly on the floor, on a low piece of furniture or in a collection of African art. Cultural origin: Dagari / Lobi – West Africa Material: painted wood Height: approximately 60 cm Condition: good overall condition, with patina, wear and irregularities related to artisanal manufacture. An original decorative piece, highly expressive, ideal for a contemporary, ethnic interior or a collection of African objects. Not very stable.
