Sculpture, Imposante Napoleon Bonaparte - 30.5 cm - Bronze, Marble

Impressive and highly detailed bronze sculpture of Napoleon Bonaparte, depicted in his characteristic military pose with bicorne, long cloak, saber and spyglass. The calm, self-assured stance with arms crossed gives the statue a monumental appearance. Particularly fine are the detailed rendering of the face, clothing, boots, cloak folds and military accoutrements. The dark brown-bronze patina is subtly lighter on the raised parts, making the details stand out nicely. The statue stands on a heavy black marble pedestal, which forms a beautiful contrast with the warm bronze. On the bronze base there are several interesting features, including: * a handwritten signature in the bronze; * a circular foundry/bronze mark; * a separately applied number A6806. These markings have been extensively photographed and make the statue even more interesting for collectors. A classic and decorative work of art that comes into its own wonderfully in an interior, library, office, gallery or a collection of historical and military art. Material: bronze and black marble Depiction: Napoleon Bonaparte Signed: yes, signature visible on the base Numbered: A6806 Condition: good condition with normal wear and aging. The marble pedestal shows locally small signs of wear/imperfections; see the extensive photos for the exact state. Will be carefully and professionally packed and shipped with tracking.
