The most famous sculpture is probably the «Petite Danseuse de Quatorze Ans» (Fourteen-year-old Dancer), a wax sculpture of the Belgian Marie van Goethem from 1880 that is renowned for its realism. The sculpture sits on a marble base and bears the signature "Degas" and the foundry mark. Fine detailing, a beautiful face and a lovely brown tone (patina). Height 20 cm. Base 9 cm x 7 cm.
