Sculpture

Detail of a bas-relief depicting Hygieia (Igea) quenching the serpent of Asclepius in all its uniqueness, completely hand-finished. The sculpture of Hygieia (goddess of health and daughter of the god of medicine Asclepius) that quenches the serpent portrays the young deity while holding in her hand a cup (called a patera) from which a sacred serpent drinks or coils around her arm. The serpent is the symbol of wisdom, rebirth, and the healing power linked to father Asclepius. The cup with the serpent symbolizes the harmony between poison and cure, i.e., the ability to transform danger into remedy. The sculpture is suitable for enriching interiors and enhancing refined spaces—luxurious gardens or libraries. We ensure careful shipping of the item with package tracking. No reserve!
