The Lemnian Athena statue is an ancient sculpture dating from the 5th century BC that represents the goddess Athena. It is renowned for its grace and serene expression. The statue was created by the famous Greek sculptor Phidias and takes its name from the island of Lemnos, where it was discovered. This statue is considered one of the most significant works of art of ancient Greece, representing a moment of great mastery in classical sculpture. Currently it is housed in the Civic Archaeological Museum of Bologna. Professional academic sculpture, entirely handmade by professional artisans. A piece from a museum plaster-cast collection. The workmanship has very ancient origins, and it is executed entirely by hand by sculptors in the field, made with materials such as scagliola and Carrara marble powder.
