Polished Septarian Nodule – Matched Pair from a Single Nodule – Madagascar A striking matched pair of polished Septarian halves from Madagascar, cut from the same natural nodule and presented together as a complete specimen. The polished faces reveal a highly decorative internal structure dominated by deep dark grey to black central areas, crossed by an intricate network of pale calcite-filled fractures. Around the interior, concentric brown, caramel and muted reddish bands create a strong contrast with the darker core, producing a layered and almost graphic appearance. Because both halves originate from the same nodule, their patterns correspond naturally and can be appreciated as two complementary sections of the same geological formation. The polished surfaces emphasize the internal crack network and banding, while the unpolished outer edges preserve the original rough character of the nodule. The contrast between the smooth interior faces and the natural exterior gives the pair both mineralogical interest and strong decorative presence. Displayed side by side, the two halves create a balanced composition and clearly show the internal structure of the original formation. The clear acrylic stands shown in the photographs are included. Please note that any measurements indicated in the lot refer to the complete original nodule with the two halves reunited, not to each individual half. An attractive Madagascan Septarian specimen, appreciated for its contrasting mineralization, symmetrical presentation and distinctive natural patterning.
