Seguace di Carlo Cignani (XVIII) - Madonna con bambino

Oil on canvas painting depicting a Madonna with Child and Saint John (or Holy Family), stylistically traceable to 18th-century Italian painting, particularly within the Roman or Emilian circles of the period. The work could be attributed to Carlo Cignani or to a follower. Good condition with signs of wear and small age-related imperfections as shown in the photo. The painting has been re-lined. In the painting there is the Virgin Mary with the Baby Jesus in her womb, the presence of Saint John and, in the background, another figure (probably Saint Joseph). The compositional layout is typical of private Baroque and late Baroque devotion, with warm chiaroscuro tones and soft drapery. Shipping with trackable courier.
