Powered by the historically significant Seikosha caliber 560, it represents a highly appealing standard production model from a defining era of Japanese watchmaking. History Introduced in 1959, the Seiko Crown was designed as a mechanical improvement over the earlier Seiko Marvel and incorporated the brand's proprietary Diashock shock absorption system. The model is considered a pivotal milestone in Japanese watchmaking, as it provided the direct mechanical foundation for the very first Grand Seiko timepieces. Today, the Crown remains an important reference point for collectors of mid-century horology, prized for its classic proportions and mechanical significance.
