The hands exhibit excellent preservation matching the dial, featuring a clean silver finish with intact black central stripes and sharp edges showing no visible oxidation or corrosion. Case and Crystal The stainless steel cushion-shaped case features elegant C-line curves and retains a crisp, highly original appearance. The visible going train, plates, and bridges are remarkably clean, showing no visible corrosion, oxidation, or damage. The gold-filled engravings, including "SEIKO", "4520A", "104572", and "25 JEWELS", are crisp and highly legible. The timegrapher records +20+25s/day. Performing well within expected vintage tolerances; running strong and steady. Strap The watch is fitted with a black leather strap featuring white contrast stitching. It shows light wear and provides a casual, comfortable pairing for the timepiece. Condition Excellent vintage condition. The case retains sharp lines and distinct finishing transitions, displaying only light surface scratches alongside a remarkably intact gold caseback medallion. The dial is exceptionally clean, with only slight edge discoloration visible between 4 and 8 o'clock under magnification. The hands and domed crystal remain in wonderful shape. The movement is clean and, supported by the timegrapher data, is running strong and steady. Dimensions The case measures 36 mm (excluding the crown). Remarks This Grand Seiko 45GS is a collector favourite, defined by its sharp C-line case geometry and intact gold medallion. The combination of a clean, minimalist no-date dial and the high-beat 36,000 bph movement makes this a highly desirable vintage timepiece. History Introduced in 1968, the manual-winding caliber 4520 represents a significant technical achievement in Seiko's high-beat manufacturing. The reference 4520-7010 utilizes a cushion-shaped case with distinct C-line curves, offering a visually softer yet equally refined alternative to the sharper 8000 series cases. This specific 1970 reference highlights the brand's dedication to precision engineering and elegant design during a highly respected era of watchmaking.
