Seiko 5 Automatic “Silver Sunburst Day-Date” – Vintage Classic vintage Seiko 5 Automatic, featuring an elegant silver-toned dial with soleil finish and the typical Day-Date configuration that made the Seiko 5 family famous. A specimen with strong ’70s charm, with classic proportions and a versatile aesthetic. For this configuration I propose the name “Silver Sunburst Day-Date.” The dial features applied rectangular indices, luminous-filled hands, the Seiko 5 logo applied, and day-of-the-week and date at 3 o'clock, with the day highlighted in blue. The crystal and case show the usual signs accumulated over the years, consistent with the vintage nature of the watch. Key features: * Brand: Seiko * Collection: Seiko 5 * Proposed name: Silver Sunburst Day-Date * Reference/case visible on the dial: 7526 * Movement: Seiko automatic 21 jewels * Functions: hours, minutes, seconds, day of the week and date * Power: mechanical automatic, powered by wrist movement * Case: steel * Case diameter: approximately 37 mm, excluding crown * Dial: silver with soleil finish * Indices: applied, silvered with light inserts * Bracelet: metal, steel color * Caseback: transparent, allowing observation of the automatic movement * Predominant colors: silver, white and black, with blue detail on the calendar * Era: around the 1970s * Condition: Signs of use as shown in the photographs. Movement The heart of the watch is a Seiko 21-jewel mechanical automatic movement, belonging to the tradition of robust, simple calibers that helped spread the Seiko 5 line internationally. The rotor visible through the caseback provides winding of the movement during wear on the wrist. A little history The Seiko 5 collection was born in the 1960s with the aim of offering reliable automatic watches suitable for everyday use. The combination of automatic movement, Day-Date calendar, and practical construction quickly transformed the series into one of the most recognizable families of Japanese production. This specimen fully preserves that aesthetic: clean dial, case with vintage-typical shapes and dimensions that today are particularly appealing for those seeking a classic automatic not too large. Aesthetic conditions: 8/10. Scratches and signs of time removable with a polishing. Fast and insured worldwide shipping, with careful packaging to protect the watch during transit.
