Septarian ammonite – Fascinating natural relic with an...

This extraordinary collectible combines the fascinating structure of a fossil ammonite shell with the characteristic septarian formation and presents itself as an impressive fusion of fossil, mineralization, and natural rock matrix. In the center is the richly detailed ammonite with its clearly discernible whorls and the finely defined fossil structure. Surrounding the fossil is a striking network of dark, brown, and golden-yellow crack fillings that run like natural veins through the light beige to sandy matrix. Especially striking are the strongly yellowish mineral regions along the crack systems, which form a strong contrast to the dark matrix and the fossil ammonite. The high-gloss polished surface brings even the finest details and the exceptional drawing of this piece to light and allows a fascinating view into its geological formation history. Through the combination of a well-recognizable ammonite fossil, pronounced septarian structure, and varied mineralization, this freeform piece possesses a special scientific as well as decorative appeal. An extraordinary piece of natural art for discerning fossil and mineral collectors, which showcases the connection between Earth history and natural aesthetics in an impressive manner.
