Seriatopora Hystrix Coral Specimen - Coral from Solomon...

Pocilloporidae, Solomon Islands — This specimen of Seriatopora hystrix coral, also known as the brush coral for its characteristic morphology, presents in a magnificent snow-white coloration that accentuates its complex natural architecture. The colony is composed of countless thin, pointed branches that densely radiate from a central base, forming a globular, compact shape that captivates with its intricate beauty and delicate texture. Each individual calcareous polyp contributed to the formation of this branched structure, testimony to the slow, meticulous work of nature. The surface of the branches is finely detailed, revealing the minute features that make this type of coral so distinctive. The uniform, pure coloration lends the specimen an elegant and timeless appearance, making it an ideal piece for any collection or as a high-value decorative element. Seriatopora hystrix is a hard coral (scleractinian) that thrives in warm, clear waters of coral reefs, where it plays a crucial role in the marine ecosystem. Its growth is typically branching, forming dense bushes that provide shelter for numerous marine species. The provenance from the Solomon Islands adds a touch of exoticism and charm to this extraordinary natural find. The specimen is firmly mounted on a combined wooden and brass base, designed to enhance presentation and ensure stability. The dark wood base contrasts elegantly with the white coral, while the brass support lends a touch of refinement, elevating the piece to a true natural sculpture. A visually striking and scientifically significant element, perfect for enriching a refined environment or a natural history collection."}} ailey? Wait ensure no extra. Done. }})?
