Sericho meteorite Pallasitic - Height: 50 mm - Width: 40 mm - 58 g - (1)

Pallasite meteorites are very rare meteorites in which olivine crystals are embedded in a metallic matrix. They originate from the mantle of large asteroids and account for only 1.7% of the meteorites we know. Their rarity makes them highly valuable on the market. It has been polished on one face, by our own efforts using specialized equipment, which will allow you to observe the olivine crystals and metallic inclusions. It has a superb outer crust with beautiful colors where the green color is clearly visible. It weighs 58 grams and measures 4 x 3 x 2.5 cm. This pallasite was initially named Habaswein, after a town near where the first fragments were found. Eventually, the meteorite was officially named Sericho, after the region of Kenya where the first impact occurred. It comes with its own certificate of authenticity sent with the delivery. We ship our lots in careful packaging and promptly. We are members of the METEORITICAL SOCIETY, member No 54, and members of the GMA GLOBAL METEORITICAL ASSOCIATION.
